Wellness Center at Cypress Glen
Well-Rounded Wellness
Caring for seniors means more than health services — it also means providing opportunities to live a healthier lifestyle every day. At Cypress Glen, we follow Eight Dimensions of Wellness to support residents’ holistic wellness. While our team works tirelessly to support residents with the best retirement community wellness resources, we aim to have them blend seamlessly into every day because we think improving your overall wellness should not feel like a chore.
Physical Wellness
Group and individual fitness programs are designed with seniors in mind. Aquatic exercise classes in our heated saltwater pool are great for people who need low-impact workouts or those who simply love the water. Residents can pop into classes as the mood strikes, or they can follow a strategic plan. Working with our Wellness Coordinator, residents can begin a program to reach their goals in small, deliberate steps. A Personal Trainer is available by appointment to help.
Another important aspect of physical health is proper nutrition. Our dining team works with a Nutrition Care Coordinator and accommodates residents’ dietary needs. With locally sourced, fresh ingredients, our talented chefs create delicious dishes that residents look forward to. Each of our dining venues adds more variety to keep each meal exciting.
Social Wellness
A richer social life is one of the classic retirement community wellness benefits. With over 200 activities on the calendar each month and beautiful dining rooms open every night, residents find as many opportunities to socialize as they prefer. They can always enjoy private nights in or a quiet corner of the library, but when they want to share a meal or spend time with friends and neighbors, it is as simple as a walk down the hall.
Intellectual Wellness
Retirement is a fantastic time to learn and grow. Our Life Enrichment Director ensures there is always something on the calendar — whether it be a cultural performance, a musical concert, or a seminar from an expert speaker — to interest residents and expand their world view. And in between events, they can explore our extensive library with books, periodicals, and audiobooks.
Environmental Wellness
Walking paths wind through towering trees and expansive lawns on our 95-acre campus. Residents can connect to nature in the beautiful North Carolina climate or take the time to meditate among the stunning scenery.
