Christmas Season at Cypress Glen

December 2019 was a month filled with lots of holiday festivities!

Our Christmas season began with Cookies with Santa! Our auditorium was transformed into a Winter Wonderland for our special visit from Santa! Children of all ages shared their wishes with Santa.

Throughout December, our residents enjoyed many outings including trips to Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” in Durham, Handel’s “Messiah” in New Bern, Steve Creech Christmas show in Fountain, Queen Street Christmas in Kinston, Myrtle Grove Plantation in Macclesfield, Choir performances at ECU and even a tour of the Christmas lights here in Greenville!

Residents were treated to many holiday events on campus too! Our campus events included resident and staff holiday showcase, resident and staff Christmas party, carols and cocoa sing-along and holiday music by Ringers of the Glen, resident synchronized swim show, “A Celebration of Christmas in Poetry, Painting and Music” written by one of our very own residents, and many musical performances by local churches and school groups.

What a fun time we all had coming together in fellowship!
